Governor Roger Espina is a medical practitioner by profession. He finished a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and Medicine at the Far Eastern University, Manila, graduating in 1980. He underwent internship training at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center, Quezon City and passed the medical board examinations in 1985. He acquired residency training from the AFP Medical Center and Philippine Orthopaedic Center. He is a member of the Philippine Board of Orthopaedics and the Philippine Orthopaedic Association. He brings to his constituency the knowledge and expertise of a physician, as well as a broad understanding of issues and concerns that affect the residents of Biliran. His agenda focuses on social work and development, health, education, youth and agricultural development. He supports sector-wide efforts to make Biliran a prime destination of investor-businessmen as well as domestic and international tourists. Date
